Ruth had the good fortune of meeting Sylvia Richard’s brother when she was at a convention in Miami at the Doral Golf Resort. Ruth got in touch with Sylvia and had her design this stunning hat to match her Sophia Sitbon dinner suit.

In the summer of 1999, Sylvia came to Chicago to show and sell some of her lovely hats at the Rosemont Convention Center. Ruth had the opportunity to meet Sylvia and see her collection of hats. She donned this hat and walked through the convention hall handing out Sylvia’s business cards.

To thank Ruth for bringing customers to her booth, Sylvia wanted to give her one of her hats. It was very hard making a decision as to which one to choose. This one looks good!

But then, so does this one.

Ruth finally decided on this hat because she has a suit that she can wear with it!

Ruth’s friend, Paula Bartlett, joined in the fun of trying on hats.

Soon others were coming into the booth.
